Aged just 9 years old Noel lost his mum. Some years later his relationship with his father broke down and Noel became homeless.
By chance Noel popped into his local Connexions centre for some advice. He was then referred to the YMCA in Romford. Jobless, Noel started volunteering in the gym and soon realised a passion for fitness. He loved working with people and quickly received lots of positive comments from members who valued his happy and helpful attitude.
Recognising his potential, staff enrolled Noel onto a level 2 Instructor Training Course and just one month later he was offered a part time job as a fitness instructor.
Five years on and Noel is going from strength to strength and hasn’t looked back. He now runs a range of specialised classes and programmes, working with a range of people with specialist needs from young children, teens who have been excluded from school and children and adults with disabilities.
Noel has grasped every opportunity and has quickly turned his life around. He now has his own flat and is determined to succeed in everything that he does.
This experience has enabled Noel to develop and he is now a very mature young man with a bright future ahead of him. His relationship with his dad is now back on track and he continues to work hard and enjoy his role.
