Frequently asked questions about our holiday clubs

Do I have to register my child?

Yes, you do. You register via this link or click on the ‘enquire now’ button. Please allow two working days for this to be processed.

Do you provide food within your provision?

Yes, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided. Allergies and dietary requirements are catered for. A hot meal is provided on days where the children are onsite, and for trip days, a packed lunch is given. Your child is more than welcome to bring their own lunch and snack.

What time do you operate?

Drop off is between 8am and 8.45am and collection is between 4pm and 6pm.

How will I know if my child is booked on?

You will receive a confirmation email of your booking. Payment is to be made before attendance.

Are discounts available?

We offer a 12.5% NHS discount, 10% early bird (booked with a month’s notice) and a 25% sibling discount off the second and third child (only one discount can be used)

How do you pay?

You can pay via BACs, over the phone, in person at YMCA Romford on Rush Green Road, via childcare vouchers or direct debit.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

Sorry, we have a no refund policy.

Do the children leave the YMCA for trips? If so, how do they get to the destination?

Yes, we go on many trips in Holiday Club. We mainly use public transport.

Does my child need to bring anything?

Please bring a bottle of water. Although we provide lunch, they are welcome to bring their own snacks and lunch. Please refrain from bringing toys. Electronics are strictly prohibited including smart watches. Please pack sun cream for hotter days.

What should my child wear?

Please check the weather and ensure they are dressed appropriately. Allow them to wear clothes that can get messy and are comfortable in. Please bring spare clothes on days they are participating in water activities, and ensure activity appropriate clothes and foot wear.

What happens if I am late dropping off or collecting?

If you’re late dropping off you may risk not being registered to attend that day. A late fee applies for late collection. Reoccurring lateness can result in termination of services.

Do you provide any other children’s services?

Yes! We also provide birthday parties, and run a parent and toddler group and preschool, all at YMCA Romford, and offer breakfast and afterschool clubs at some schools. More information can be found here.
