Our Romford youth club (RYC) is a safe space where young people (aged 8-14) can make new friends, develop physical, mental and social skills and most importantly, have lots of fun!

Check out our latest activity planner here. For details of our FREE HAF-funded summer holiday programme click here.

Activities vary from week to week so that young people are able to experience new opportunities. These include a range of unique co-operative and competitive games that have been developed by our leaders over the years.

Activities include:

  • Team challenges
  • Traditional games
  • Football
  • Dodgeball
  • Indoor cricket
  • Basketball

The club, originally named Boys Club, is run by our team of volunteers (many of whom were previous members) and has been going since the 1980s. The club has two senior leaders – Darren and Dan – who share responsibility for co-ordinating and delivering the club’s termly programme.

As a club, we do our best to ensure everyone feels supported as they develop their independence.

As a club, we also offer the chance for our members to take part in residential trips. For some young people, this is the first time they have stayed away from home.

RYC takes place every Friday (term time only) from 6:45pm – 9:00pm.
